Tens of thousands of sea turtles begin to arrive on Florida beaches each year, just about the time that human “snowbirds” depart. This is the story of the quiet drama that plays out, on a narrow stretch of beach, between the turtles and the people who remain there during the hot summer months. The turtles, seeking to reproduce. The people, monitoring the turtles. Together, they are restoring and protecting a local natural environment and playing a role in an ecosystem that reaches around the globe.
